[Tutorial] Garmin Mobile XT 5.00.60 (50), Mapsource and maps - Installation

Tutorial for installing Garmin Mobile XT 5:00:50 (or 30 and 40) and tutorial installed Mapsource, a map to mapsource and explains how to transfer maps from MapSource to a mobile phone.

Install Garmin 5:00:50

(Note: The installation Garmin 5:00:20 and 5:00:30 and 5:00:40 and 5:00:50 is the same. All these versions of the Garmin, you can find as attachement of this post)

1. download attachement to your computer and ekstraktajte it (the computer) using WinRAR to get a exe file called "GarminMobileXTforSymbianS603rdEdition_50050"
(Note: If you are downloading from GarminMobileXT_50040.rar attachementa, when ekstraktirate, you will get a file called GarminMobileXT_50040, and the installation process is the same as the version of 5:00:50)


2. Connect your phone to your computer (for mobiles click: data transfer, ie mass storage)

3. Run the exe file and choose Setup, wait a bit


4. After that you will open a window to install Garmin Mobile XT's, which highlight the "Removable disc" (which is your cell phone) and select install


5. When all is complete will appear a new window and just select Done

Now you have to get a cell phone memory card file: GarminMobileXT and folder Garmin

(The next two steps are important, otherwise you will not have voice guidance)
6. Remove from attachementa "voice" and ekstraktajte to get voices folder.

7. Switch to folder "voice" in the folder "Garmin" on the memory card mobile phone. Also, move the file in the folder GarminMobileXT Garmin.

8. Unplug cell phone and computer, and on the phone using Explorer, open the memory card in the Garmin folder GarminMobileXT find the file and install it.

Now only need to unlock Garmin and that's it.

9. Garmin installation is finished you only need to select the language and joining Garmin Online ...
When you first start Garmin, you will be asked to select one of the options: Buy and Go, and start a trial run, enter the product key, connect to Garmin GPS
You choose: Connect to a Garmin GPS
When you go look for the GPS program, click on Cancel

10. Start the Key Generator, and rewrite the ID Card in the "Enter your Unit ID here" and click on generate.

11. when you squeezed Generate, you will get the key to unlock the Garmin


12. Reconnect your phone to your computer (for mobiles choose: data)

13. Open Notepad on your computer and copy into it the key that you get the keygen in (Your software unlock code:)


14. In Notepad, select File -> Save As
When you are asked where to save a click: My Computer -> Memory Card (I:) (or you name the memory card) -> Garmin


15. into the field File name: upište SW.unl in the field Save as type: choose All Files


16. Press Save and you will get SW.unl file on the memory card and you will have unlocked Garmin.



The installation process - for mobile phones that are running older versions of Garmin

Mapsource Install

1. Mapsource should be removed. You can download it from here:

2. When you download mapsource click twice on it (MapSource_6157)

3. When looking at the window appears, click Next

Note: If you receive a "previous installation Mapsorce is not found, then you need to install an older version of MapSource's (you can download it here ([You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]) or first install AdriaRoute and then install Mapsource)
4th checkbox in front of the "I accept the terms in the License Agreement" and click Next

5th wait to install MapSource. When the installation is complete, you will get the following window:

You can remove the check mark in front of the "Launch MapSource now" and click done.

Install the map for mapsource

Note: The installation AdriaRoute 2:30 and 3.0, the same as 2,20 (which is explained below)

Unlocking maps for MapSource
